Giclée Prints

A Giclée print (pronounced “zhee-clay”) is a reproduction on an original artwork, created by a special inkjet printer that can use a variety of types of high-quality paper, and a wide spectrum of colors, applied by small spraying devices that can match -and sometimes enhance- the original version.

As we have witnessed, printing technology has vastly improved over the last decades, and it is not unusual anymore to find Glicée Art prints in museums, galleries, and art stores all over the world. According to the manufacturer’s information, a Glicée print will keep its original color for over 100 years, and the high-quality paper will not turn yellow or stained if you take care of it the same way you would an original piece.

I have chosen a selection of my paintings for selling on this format, not only making them available to a greater audience, but also more affordable, and easier to send.

At the moment I am using the services of the company “printed.com” in the U.K. to make this kind of reproductions. To start this adventure, my options for making Glicée prints will be produced with the next characteristics:

All prints will be done with Hahnemühle Baryta FB 350 gsm white paper, mounted on a 5mm Foamex board, and delivered at your door in the next 8 working days (inside U.K.) after your order is placed.  Delivery service is trackable and is programmed to arrive at its destination from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.

If you are ordering from outside the UK, your print will arrive in 13 days (Europe- add £10), and 15 days (for the rest of the world- add £15).

Even though I consider signing all my artwork VERY important, in order to sign a printed artwork, we would have to add some days and invest in extra delivery service fees (around £10). This is because the print would first have to be sent at my home in London, for me to sign it, and then re-send it to your address. If you value this, I will include a personalized dedication note at the back of the Foamex board, just for you, with all my gratitude and appreciation!
